On 8 July over 200 business leaders from the South East Asian region gathered in Singapore to hear from speakers including Dr. Jose Ramos Horta and Mr. Arcanjo da Silva from TradeInvest about the many business opportunities in Timor-Leste including tourism, minerals and petroleum. H.E. Minister of State of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and the interim Minister Coordinator for Economic Affairs provided the closing remarks. The forum was arranged as part of Timor-Leste’s plan to develop the private sector and attract foreign companies to invest in Timor-Leste.
